These terms cover the use of the The Solar Broker website and the free consultation and brokering services we provide. Last updated: July 2026.
Our role
The Solar Broker is an independent broker and advisor. We do not carry out the installation ourselves. Once you choose an installer from our vetted panel, the installation contract, workmanship guarantee and manufacturer warranties are between you and that installer.
Fees
The initial phone consultation and site survey are free of charge to the homeowner. We are paid a fixed commission by the installer if you go ahead, the same rate across every installer on our panel, so our advice remains impartial.
Advice
Our recommendations are based on the information you provide, the site survey we carry out, and the design produced in professional paid-for software. Energy generation and savings figures are projections, not guarantees, actual performance depends on weather, usage, tariff and property factors.
Insurance
The Solar Broker holds £1 million Public Liability covering our broker and survey activities. Dan Reeves is DBS Certified. All recommended installers are MCS certified and carry their own professional insurance.
Cancellation
You may cancel a booked consultation at any time by calling 07973 710352. Cancellation terms for the installation contract are set by your chosen installer and will be provided in writing before you sign.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
